Aker delivers new oil and gas well vessel
Island Offshore take delivery of ISLAND WELLSERVER....



Island Offshore of Norway recently took delivery of their new well intervention vessel, ISLAND WELLSERVER, from Aker Yards Langstein.

The ship was designed by Rolls Royce and will begin work later this year with StatoilHydro. Island Offshore has been assigned a contract by Statoil for well intervention services on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The contract for the ship, designed for the maintenance and repair of oil and gas wells in depths of up to 600 metres, was announced in October 2005.

Propulsion: 2 off RRM Ulstein-Aquamaster Azipull, AZPm120 / 86-300 CP, each 3 500 kW, with el.motors from ABB type AMI 560L6L, each 4 040 kVa at 1200 rpm

Passenger capacity: 95 persons i
Gross tonnage: 12 100 t

Classification: DnV+1A1, E0, DK+, HL(2.8), DYNPOS-AUTRO, HELDK-SH, COMFORT V(1) C(1), CLEAN DESIGN, NAUT AW, OPP-F
