Hyundai Mipo has three Outstanding Ships of 2007
Over seven years 13 Mipo Dockyard ships have been selected...






Three ships delivered by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) this year were among the Outstanding Ships of 2007 as selected by Naval Architect, a leading technical published by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

HMD has had at least one ship selected for this award for 7 consecutive years, since entering the shipbuilding market in 1996.

Over that time 13 HMD vessels have been selected as outstanding ships.

This year, the three ships selected were a product carrier (Atrotos) and two containerships (Ital Mattina and Cap Palmerston). Atrotos is a 47,000-dwt product carrier with an Ice Class 1A design, ordered by Barclay Shipping of Greece.

Ital Mattina is a 4300 TEU containership for German owner E.R. Schiffahrt.

Cap Palmerston is an 1800 TEU containership for CP Offen of Germany.
