There were a total of 14 additions to the UK Ship Register during November 2008 equating to 220,554 GT.
Of these 14 ships 11 were new builds which continues the recent trend of a decreasing average age for the fleet.

The largest ship to flag-in during November was the CMA CGM CORAL, a new build container ship of 49,810 GT and owned by CMA Ships.
This takes the UK Ship Register up to 1,546 ships equating to 15,344,607GT
