Two new North Sea vessels named at Aberdeen
VOS Pioneer and VOS Prospector – Namegiving Ceremony...
Vroon have announced that the Namegiving Ceremonies for the VOS Pioneer and VOS Prospector took place yesterday, Wednesday 26 November, in Aberdeen.
The VOS Pioneer was christened by Mrs Margaret Mennie, Technical Assistant with Total E&P UK Ltd. Godmother for the VOS Prospector was Mrs Mary Begg-Saffar, Legal Manager with Total E&P UK Ltd.
Both vessels are Field Support Vessels, built at the Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard in Spain. They will join Vroon’s growing fleet of modern vessels providing a range of emergency response and cargo support for the offshore industry.
The vessels will be operated by Vroon Offshore Services Ltd and will support Total’s Alywn/Dunbar Fields in the UKCS for a minimum of five years firm, commencing 30 November 2008.
