Aker Yards completes 1700 TEU series in Germany
Last of a series of four for König & Cie...


Aker Yards Germany delivered a further container ship of the type Aker CS 1700 which fulfils the latest international requirements on Friday, 18 April to the Hamburg (Germany) based fund initiator König & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG.


The vessel will be operated by Columbia Shipmanagment, part of Schoeller Holdings Ltd. in Limassol (Cyprus).


Yard number 150 is the last out of four vessels of the type Aker CS 1700 ordered by König & Cie. and was named KING BRUCE by Yvonne Borrmann, spouse of Oliver Borrmann, CEO of bmp AG Berlin, the same day.


König & Cie. ordered a total of eight vessels of the type Aker CS 2700 and four vessels of the type Aker CS 1700 in 2005 for delivery in 2007 and 2008. Two vessels of the type Aker CS 2700 are scheduled for delivery until summer 2008.
