LONDON 2012 is with us already!
Greek bulk carrier given Olympian name!..

Tsakos Shipping recently announced the delivery, at 08:30 hours Japan time on 27th November, 2007, of
M/V LONDON 2012 ex H.N. 1401, at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Corporation, Japan, the second Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier of DWT 82,562 MT, in a series of four.

M/V LONDON 2012 was sponsored by Dr. Irene Saroglou Tsakos M.D. and Mrs. Maria Tsakos and was blessed by Father Ioannis Nagaya, from the Greek Orthodox Church, Japan.

Delivery was attended by Capt. Zacharias Giannopoulos, Tsakos New Building Team Representative,
Mr H. Moryia, of Braun-Moryia and Kubota, our Lawer in Japan, Mr Taira Ishi of Ishi International and
Mr T. Yoshiyama, Liberian Flag Representative in Japan.

To the Master of M/V "LONDON 2012", Capt. Boris Brylenko, Chief Engineer Mr. Nikolaos Ganatsios, Officers and Crew, Tsakos extended their warmest congratulations and wishes for smooth journeys and calm seas.

M/V "LONDON 2012" sailed for her maiden voyage to Vancouver at 11:00 LT.
