Extra cruise to see QE2 on the Clyde
Calmac adds another sailing as first cruise sells out

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed that, due to overwhelming demand, an additional viewing cruise is being organised from Gourock on MV Saturn during the afternoon of 20 September 2007 to mark the return of the QE2 to the Clyde.

An evening viewing cruise on MV Saturn has already sold out, and now the ship will be undertaking a second, earlier cruise, departing from Gourock at lunchtime.

CalMac Ferries’ Managing Director, Lawrie Sinclair, said: “Demand for tickets for CalMac’s evening Viewing Cruise has been overwhelming, with all tickets for this event now sold. We are today confirming this additional Viewing Cruise in response to continuing customer demand. The QE2 is surely one of the world’s greatest liners, and her return to the Clyde on 20 September will be a tremendous occasion. I am delighted that CalMac is able to offer people an additional opportunity to be part of it.”

MV Saturn will depart from Gourock and go to Dunoon to pick up ticket holders there before heading towards Greenock to view the QE2.

Tickets, priced £15 for adults, £10 for concession card holders and £7.50 for children go on sale from CalMac’s Gourock and Dunoon offices from today and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. A special family ticket for two adults and two accompanying children is available at £40.
