The annual conference of the
British Ports Association in October
The 2007 British Ports Association annual conference will be hosted
by the Port of Tyne and held in the Hilton Hotel, Newcastle, on 10th,
11th and 12th October.
The British Ports Association represents 86 port authorities located
throughout the UK incorporating every type of port management and port
operation.
With contributions and guest speakers from a multitude of influential
organisations, including Matthew Hunt, Port of Tyne Commercial Manager
and John Tye, Director & General Manager Port of Tyne Distribution,
the conference will discuss issues such as:
• UK and European ports policy
• Adding value to port operations
• Energy efficiency within a port
• Ports and the regional agenda
• Protecting national infrastructure
The BPA Conference is organised for ports, by ports. In addition to
its comprehensive assessment of the latest operational and political
trends facing the UK ports industry, it is also a major networking
opportunity for port people and the businesses they serve.
