“The COSCO ASIA is a Korean milestone, the country’s first 10,000 TEU containership. With the successful completion of the ship, HHI further increases their lead in the global super-large containership market,” said Mr. Hong Sung-il, vice president at ship sales department of HHI.

“HHI is famous for its advanced technology and shipbuilding abilities, especially concerning high-value-added ships, among global shipping companies,” he said.

HHI now has the world’s largest containership order backlog with 160 containerships, including about 30 super-large containerships of 10,000 TEU capacity or over ordered from Germany, Switzerland, and France.
