Elderly gas carrier off to the scrapyard
After nearly three decades of service, BW Gas send BERGE ARROW on her last voyage.

Norwegian energy transportation company, BW Gas, announced today that they have sold the elderly VLGC carrier BERGE ARROW for scrap. The vessel was delivered to the buyers 4 May 2007.

The sales price is USD 9.1 million and BW Gas say they will book a net profit of about USD 7.3 million in the second quarter 2007.

The company added that after the sale BW Gas has two vessels in semi-lay up.

She was built in 1978 by Stocznia im Komuny Paryskiej ( now Stocznia Gdynia S.A) in Poland as NORTHERN ARROW and has a gross tonnage of 44502 tons. She has therefore been a loyal player for BW Gas, who have been here sole owners throughout.
