CMA CGM begins new shipping service
North Africa Express to begin with CMA CGM JASMIN


CMA CGM has just recently announced the start up of a new dedicated service between Asia and North Africa, via its hub of Malta.

This new service, to be called North Africa Express, will operate with 7 ships of 3.000 teus which will call on Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Jakarta, Malta, Port Kelang, Jakarta, Chiwan.

North Africa Express will provide connections with CMA CGM feeders to Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya via the main hub of Malta. Highly competitive transit times, such as Chiwan to Algiers in 21 days or Shanghai to Tripoli in 24 days, will be offered.

The first ship, the CMA CGM JASMIN, will leave Shanghai on June 15 th, 2007.
