Meyer Werft and Disney firm up cruise ships order with signing
Two new 124,000 grt ships confirmed

Disney and Meyer Werft have signed the contract for the two new cruise ships for Disney announced earlier this year.

The ship will have the yard numbers S. 687 and S. 688 and will have a tonnage of 124,000 gt.

They are scheduled for delivery in 2011 and 2012.

Each ship will have a length overall of 339.8 m, a breadth of 37 m, and a cabin capacity of 1,250.

“We are grateful and happy to enter into a highly important partnership with Disney Cruise Line. This makes the shipyard’s workload last well into the next decade,” said Bernard Meyer, managing partner of MEYER WERFT who is pictured with Tom McAlpin, the President of Disney Cruise Line.
