Chemical tanker delivered to operators Clipper-Wonsild
CLIPPER SAGA joins the fleet.

The second of a series of four stainless-steel lined chemical tankers has been delivered to her operators.

Ordered from the Dutch shipbuilders Volharding Shipyards by Brødrene Klovning Shipping of Haugesund, Norway, the CLIPPER SAGA will be deployed by Danish shipping firm Clipper-Wonsild.

The first of the series CLIPPER SIRA (pictured) was delivered last year. The remaining vessels are CLIPPER SOLA and CLIPPER SUND.

The vessels engine room and cargo handling fittings were executed by Marine Services Noord BV who say the vessels are stainless steel chemical tankers with 10 cargo tanks, suitable for loading 5 different grades of chemicals simultaneously. MSN installed the complete engine room and cargo handling systems.

The cargo piping is all stainless steel which meets the highest requirements of shippers, classification societies and international environmental regulations, say MSN.
