Iraq Prime Minister visits Hyundai shipyard
Iraq PM and HHI CEO discuss interests


The prime minister of Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki visited Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and met Mr. Min Khe-sik, vice chairman and CEO and Mr. Choi Kil-seon, president and CEO of HHI today April 13th.

Prime Minister Maliki was welcomed by Mr. Min and Mr. looked around the shipyard (shipbuilding site and the marine engine assembly shop).

In a luncheon at Guest House in HHI, Prime Minister Maliki and HHI’s CEOs discussed their interest in each other's countries. Especially he expressed his interest in the fast growth of HHI in a short period and asked HHI to actively participate in the Iraqi reconstruction projects.

HHI has an order for 30 Packaged Power Stations (PPS) and expects to win an additional order for 150 units of PPS from Iraq. The company expected that Iraq will be a bridgehead for the power facilities market in the Middle East.
