Once familiar container ship sold
Feederlines BV reportedly sells MERWEDIEP to Indian buyers

Another vessel once familiar in UK waters, the MERWEDIEP has been sold on.

Reports from various sources appear to conclude that TCI Seaways of India has purchased the vessel operated by Feederlines BV and has been renamed TCI SURYA. This happened in March of this year.

She was built in 1998 by Pattje Shipyards of the Netherlands and carries 312 TEUs.
