GAZ IMPERIAL goes to the breakers

Once the world's biggest LPG carrier, the GAZ IMPERIAL owned by Naftomar Shipping & Trading is to be scrapped.

Built in 1977 as the ESSO WESTERNPORT she was constructed by Chantiers Navals De La Ciota. She became the WESTERNPORT in 1994 and took her current name in 1997.

Now she sails off into the history books and to the breakers in Pakistan.
