 ABG
delivers AHT to UAEIndia's ABG Shipyard (pictured) recently delivered a new anchor handling tug supply vessel, the LAMNALCO MERLIN, to the UAE offshore support services company, Lamnalco Group. She is the sixth vessel to be produced by the yard for Lamnalco and five more are under construction at ABG's yard for the company. A 53-meter-long, 90-tonne Bollard Pull Azimuth Drive Propulsion AHTS she is designed to can carry out anchor handling; towing rescue; offshore supply; transport pipe, fresh water, diesel oil, stores, materials and equipment; move men and materials between platforms and shore; external fire fighting; and other related duties. She will supply and support floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels on a 24-hour-per-day basis. |
