Shipyard reveals schedule for cruise ship Ems passage

 

In the afternoon of 10 March 2007 the 68,500-gt club ship AIDAdiva will leave the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg for the North Sea. The Ems barrier will be operating to support the passage down the river.

The following schedule may change on short notice depending on the wind and weather conditions:

This schedule is subject to wind and weather conditions. Rescheduling may occur!

The ship’s departure and passage of the Papenburg lock will be broadcast live on the Internet. Go to the web cam at www.meyerwerft.de.

Tours of the yard can be booked either on the yard premises on Sunday, or beforehand by phone on +49-4961-83960.

As usual, the Emden Pilot Association will be in charge of the passage. The ship will proceed astern assisted by two tugs.

Meyer Werft are busy working on the next ship, the NORWEGIAN GEM for Norwegian Cruise Line. She is due to leave Papenburg in the autumn this year. The next newbuilding in building dock I will be the second ship for AIDA Cruises, the AIDAbella due to leave the yard in the spring of 2008.
