Two ships that are very familiar in UK waters have
been sold out of the Brostrom fleet.
Broström has made an agreement for the sale of BRO TRANSPORTER and
BRO TRADER, which in total gives a profit of about SEK 1 million and
a cash surplus of around SEK 87 million.
Broström has over the years continuously renewed its fleet and
invested in new and modern tonnage, making the Broström fleet a
modern diversified product tanker fleet.
As the considerable number of new-built vessels gradually is joining
the Broström fleet, older tonnage is being phased out. Broström has
on 12 February 2007 taken delivery of the new-built BRO DEVELOPER,
the fourth and last of the D-class vessel, aimed to replace the
earlier generation double-bottom built vessels. The now sold BRO
TRANSPORTER and the BRO TRADER are the last two of the double bottom
vessels remaining in the Broström fleet.
BRO TRANSPORTER (14,400 dwt) was built in 1989 and Broström’s
owner-stake is 77.5%.
BRO TRADER (14,320 dwt) was built in 1988 and is fully owned by
Broström.
Both vessels are scheduled to be delivered to the new owners in
March 2007.
