$2.3
billion contract for 64 shipsThe Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) has signed a contract that will run until 2015 to build a total of 64 ships with a combined capacity of 2.8 million tonnes for the Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines). The costs of the ships will total US $2.3 billion. 19 of the vessels will be constructed by 2010 with the remainder, consisting of containerships, cargo vessels and oil tankers, will be constructed between 2011 and 2015 |
